Can spent activated carbon be regenerated and restored to the original carbon effect?

After the activated carbon is regenerated, it is generally considered that the performance is far from that of the original carbon, and the use effect is not good, but it is not the case. The effect of activated carbon regeneration has a great relationship with its material, adsorbed substances and regeneration process.
If activated carbon is mainly adsorbed by organic matter or originally produced by chemical methods, through our high-temperature regeneration secondary activation, the adsorption performance of activated carbon may exceed the performance of raw carbon; If the activated carbon adsorbs mainly inorganic substances, if the pores are destroyed, the adsorption performance of the activated carbon may not reach the performance of the original carbon.
According to previous experience in regeneration treatment, if the quality of the raw carbon is guaranteed, the activated carbon that adsorbs organic matter can basically be restored to more than 95% of its original value under normal circumstances if it is regenerated 3-4 times within a year. If there is a large gap with the original carbon adsorption performance, we can purchase high-quality carbon to supplement to achieve the original regeneration effect, and we can hire a third party to issue CMA testing and certification.
