Introduction to gas masks

What is the protective function of gas masks? It is not the mask itself that can only isolate the internal and external environment. What really determines the overall role of the gas mask is the filter element. It is the existence of the filter element that makes the gas mask more protective. The filter element comprises a poison filter box, a poison filter tank and a filter cotton.

Classification of gas mask filter box (tank):

1. Filter element types: P (ordinary type), D (multi-functional type), Z (comprehensive type), t (special type):

Ordinary type: it can protect the filtration of class I gas in the standard (a/b/e/k/co/hg/h2s);

Multi function type: used to protect two or more types of ordinary filter elements

Comprehensive type: ordinary filter or multi-functional filter with smoke filtering function;

Special type: filter element used to protect gas or steam not specified in the standard and specified by the manufacturer.

2. Protective gas types: type A, type B, type E, type K, H2S, type CO, and type Hg, which can be combined. Special filter elements shall be filled in according to the actual protective gas types; Wherein: (A: organic gas, B: inorganic gas, e: acid gas, K: ammonia and its organic derivatives, Co: carbon monoxide, hg: mercury, H2S: hydrogen sulfide);

3. Protection level: it is divided into four levels: 1, 2, 3 and 4 according to the protection time;

From the point of view of performance and protection level, the poison filter tank and box are classified as above. In addition, poison filter boxes and cans are also marked with corresponding colors according to different types of protective gas. You can easily identify the product types according to the colors and easily select the appropriate products.
